Get WILD and ROCK the World during the Van's Triple Crown of surfing in Hawaii.
Wild Rock Wine Company is teaming up with legendary surf brand Billabong for a great time and an even greater cause at the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Contests in Hawaii.
"These events are bigger than Ben-Hur among the surfing community, and Wild Rock is proud to be the only New Zealand winery that will be there," says Ash Ireland, aka "The Wild Rock Guy."

"It's a natural fit for the Kiwi wine company that scoffs at wine snobbery and embraces the adventure-seeking Kiwi way of life", says Ash. Wild Rock is already the official wine of Billabong and donates a portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold to SurfAid International.
SurfAid was founded by Dr. Dave Jenkins of Gisborne in 2000 to improve the health, well-being and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us by surfing. Wild Rock will have a tent to represent SurfAid and inform the surfing elite and spectators at each contest about the organisation's mission and ongoing efforts.
The highlight of the season will be the "Get WILD & ROCK the House" SurfAid Fundraising Wine Reception Party at the Billabong house in Hawaii on Friday, Dec. 11th. Wild Rock will be pouring its Elevation Sauvignon Blanc, Vin Gris Rose and Cupid's Arrow Pinot Noir while a local chef provides the grub and local Hawaiian bands set the groove. A slew of Billabong pro surfers will also be on hand for poster signing and autographs along with raffles for Billabong apparel and a one-of-a-kind Wild Rock surfboard for the lucky winners.
Proceeds from the events will support SurfAid's emergency response efforts to help the people of Padang, Indonesia recover and redevelop their communities following the massive earthquake that devastated the area on Sept. 30th.
"This is taking our long-standing relationship with SurfAid to the next level by not only supporting them with funds but raising awareness at this key world-class event," says Ash. "When you are enjoying a glass of Wild Rock Wine you're not just having a good time, you're helping to rebuild communities."

Get WILD and ROCK the House
December 11, 2009, from 7-10pmOne of the major highlights of the season will be the "Get WILD & ROCK the House" SurfAid Fundraising Wine Reception Party. The benefit will take place at the north shore Billabong house and will be catered by the delightful cuisine of Chef Kate Wagner, owner of Starpoint Cafe. An acoustic version of Oahu's well known local band, Lost at Sea, will be setting a roots, rock, reggae mood for the evening. Along with Billabong's pro surfers signing posters, there will be a showcase of epic photographs streaming through screens around the house. Fresh apparel from Billabong and DaKine along with a Wild Rock surfboard will be given to the lucky winners who purchase fundraising raffle tickets in support of SurfAid International.
