The Prize
"The Rock" – a 6'1" custom made board by Sparrow Surfboards.
The Rock is an all-around board designed with an early 90's performance style, evident through its fuller nose and flatter deck. This increased volume gives the board more float and allows it to paddle easier into waves. The rocker is fairly moderate, but will still allow for somewhat steeper drops. Bottom contour is single to double concave, which eases the flow rail to rail. The round-pin tail allows the board to hold a line in more critical sections of the wave, and like the bottom contour, increases the rail to rail flow with a smoother transition. Best surfed from 2- 5ft Hawaiian Scale, chest-high to a few feet over-head.
